The first post of 2009!!

Alex and I, Kim and Christina somewhere on Southgate, and Will and Emily also amongst the crowd on the other side of the river watched the fireworks along with 43819515141 other people! Although we accidentally were on the wrong side of the riverbank for the best view, the fireworks were still spectacular through the trees. As cheesy as it sounds, I wouldn't have wanted to ring in the new year with anyone else but him :)

Fireworks watching was coupled with a spontaneous decision to get drunk (rather Alex get drunk) at Joe's apartment in the city. Anyway, although hilarious at the start with lots of talking shit and guy on guy action (alcohol always brings out the inner gay), the night ended with two very ko'd men doing everything that drunk men do sighs. Tian and I fetched Alex's car from Crown and went back to the apartment. Thanks hun, I couldn't have gotten him downstairs without you! Got home at 10 and ate migoreng.

And I turned twenty on Monday. I'm always too lazy to organize anything, so we had dinner at Waterfront in Crown where I delved my way through a truly mouth watering lobster mornay dish. All up, $200 well spent :) John dropped by and gave me a birthday present, an Oroton keyring and compact mirror! Afterwards we lost $70 at Crown and then went to Galactic to shoot hoops! I'm gooood :)

I went shopping on boxing day too! Given the crowds and the hectic atmosphere, boxing day shopping is done best alone I think, but my mum and my sister wanted to come along so there were 3 drowsy females on the first train to the city. Best bargain of the day was a top for $19.95 down from $109.95. BUT they had slimming mirrors in the changerooms so it was only when I got home I realized you could see everything I ate for breakfast that day. Or anything I'd eaten in the past 24 hours!

I hope 2009 is everything I want it to be - uni, family, friends, work & love.
